Dan graduated from Kutztown University with a degree in Psychology, and minor in Philosophy. Upon graduation, he went on to spend several years farming organic fruits, vegetables, mushrooms and hydroponic greens. During this time, he developed a strong passion for conservation, especially as it pertains to our food system. Dan went on to work for the Farm Service Agency, where he gained further experience working with New Jersey’s farmers and landowners. These experiences have given him hands-on knowledge and expertise in sustainable agricultural systems/practices, as well as agricultural service implementation.

Dan came on board with the Watershed Protection Team in 2017 as an Assistant Watershed Protection/Agriculture Specialist and partner with the Natural Resource Conservation Service.

When he is not digging up veggies or working with local farmers and landowners, you can probably find Dan practicing drums or performing with his band. Dan is a life-long musician, outdoor enthusiast, and hobby archer and fencer.
